Chinese Language Center
Shenzhen MSU-BIT University launched its Chinese language courses for international students during its inaugural enrollment year in 2017 and established the Chinese Language Center in 2019. The Center currently has 2 teaching administrators and 7 full-time faculty members, along with several part-time instructors, all holding degrees in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (TCSOL) or related fields from prestigious domestic and international universities. The full-time faculty all possess senior professional titles or doctoral degrees, with one recipient of Shenzhen's Special Talent Award.
Adhering to an educational philosophy that prioritizes language instruction as the foundation, cultural cultivation as the distinctive feature, and competency development as the core, the Chinese Language Center maintains a small-class, elite education model. It has established an international Chinese teaching system that integrates language instruction with Chinese cultural education and practical Chinese competency development, along with a two-tier curriculum system comprising "General Chinese" and "Professional Chinese". The Center has also inaugurated an undergraduate "Chinese Language + Business" program specifically designed for students from Russian-speaking countries, aiming to cultivate interdisciplinary innovators proficient in Chinese, knowledgeable about China, and possessing exceptional cross-cultural communication skills to serve the Belt and Road Initiative, the Eurasian Economic Union, and the socioeconomic development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Additionally, the Center hosts a Chinese proficiency test center authorized by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC) of China's Ministry of Education, providing professional HSK testing and training services for international residents in the Greater Bay Area.
The Chinese Language Center is committed to building itself into a key base for cultivating Chinese language talents for Russian-speaking countries and an influential Chinese language promotion platform in the Greater Bay Area. It regularly organizes various Chinese competitions for Russian students, along with training programs and teaching seminars for local Chinese language teachers. Moving forward, the Center will continue strengthening cooperation with Russian educational institutions at all levels, supporting the development of local Chinese language teachers in Russia, and fostering a more collaborative platform for Sino-Russian linguistic and cultural exchange.
