English Language Center

The English Language Center was established in 2022. The university's mission is to build a distinctive, world-class comprehensive research university that cultivates high-quality innovative talents proficient in Chinese and Russian cultures, fluent in Chinese, Russian, and English, and specialized in their respective fields. To support this goal, the English Language Center provides tailored English courses for students across all disciplines, meeting the diverse English teaching needs of various faculties while ensuring comprehensive English teaching quality for undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs. The Center focuses on enhancing students' English listening, speaking, reading, writing, and translation skills.

The English Language Center currently has 12 faculty and staff members, including 11 full-time teachers. Among them are 1 professor, 8 associate professors, and 6 teachers with doctoral degrees. The full-time teachers have a well-structured age and academic hierarchy, rich teaching experience, excellent teaching quality, and outstanding research capabilities.

Currently, the English Language Center offers the following courses: College English, General English, Specialized English, Comprehensive Practical English, Business English, Academic English Listening and Speaking, Academic English Writing, IELTS Preparation, Basic English, Advanced English, and Creative Writing.

The English Language Center actively promotes various English competitions and annually organizes the National English Competition for College Students and the "FLTRP·ETIC Cup" National Foreign Language Proficiency Competition for University Students. These initiatives aim to stimulate students' enthusiasm for learning English and enrich campus cultural life.
