1.About SMBU

Shenzhen MSU-BIT University (SMBU) is a non-profit Chinese-foreign cooperative university jointly founded by the Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government, Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) and Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) with an independent legal entity status.

2. Qualification

（1）The applicant must be high school graduate who is non-Chinese citizen. Applicant of SMBU educational programs must be aged between 18 and 25 with valid foreign passport and in physically and mentally health. The applicant under 18 must submit a guarantee letter from applicant’s guardians in Guangdong, China.

（2）The applicant must meet the requirements of Document (JW [2020] No. 12 ) issued by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China.

（3）The applicants comply with the laws and regulations of China and the regulations of SMBU.

3. Programs

University runs three types of undergraduate programs. The first is SMBU Diploma programs including three undergraduate programs taught in English in Economics and Trade, Biology, Finance and Chinese program. The second is SMBU Diploma programs* including six undergraduate programs taught in Russian. The third is MSU & SMBU Diploma programs taught in Russian. No matter what program you choose to study at SMBU, you can be sure that you are laying a strong foundation and getting the cross disciplinary knowledge for your future career. Our academics will help you gain valuable skills relevant for many fast-developing industries.

Note：These SMBU Diploma programs* follow the same curriculum as the MSU & SMBU Diploma programs and are taught in Russian. Students who meet the graduation requirements will graduate with an SMBU diploma only.

4. Required Application Materials

The following documents will need to be sent along with the application:

(1) Application Form 2024

(2) Scanned color copy of Passport (photo page) confirming applicant’s identity and nationality

(3) Scanned color copy of the high school certification and transcript in PDF

(4) Passport Photo in JPEG, 30mm*40mm, 200px*280px, no more than 30kb

(5) SMBU Diploma programs--CV is required

(6) English Language Requirement for SMBU Diploma Programs.(If ITELS>=6.5 or TOELF >=85.the English language examination may be exempted)

6. Application Deadline

7. Entrance examination

Examination date ：

Entrance exams are scheduled to 11^th July – 25^th July of 2024. Certain timetable will be published at https://en.smbu.edu.cn/Admissions/Undergraduate.htm

and http://smbu.msu.ru/adm2024.html after 1st June 2024.

8. Enrollment

Candidates will be enrolled to SMBU upon fulfillment of all necessary conditions, including submitting necessary documents and paying tuition fee for the first year of studies to SMBU.

9. Finance

(1) Tuition fee: CNY 40000/ year.

(2) Accommodation: CNY1600 /person / year.(shared room for 4 students)

(3) Meals on campus: CNY2000--3000 / month

(4) Insurance: CNY800/ year

10. Scholarship

CNY10000 per year
