    Eurasian Research Center

The Center was established in 2023, with a professional focus on China, Europe, and Russia—encompassing economics, culture, and geopolitical dynamics. The parent department of the Eurasian Research Center at Lomonosov Moscow State University is the Institute of Asian and African Studies. The Center's mission is twofold: education and research.

Starting in 2024, the Eurasian Research Center has launched a doctoral program (in International Economics, awarding a Moscow State University diploma), a master's program (in Contemporary Eurasian Development, awarding a Moscow State University diploma), and an undergraduate program (in Contemporary Socio-Economic Development of China, awarding dual diplomas from Moscow State University and Shenzhen MSU-BIT University).

    Educational Mission of the Center:

    1. Coordinate educational and teaching activities within the English-language master's program "Modern Development of Eurasia".

    2. Coordinate educational and teaching activities for comprehensive Russian-language bachelor's and master's programs, as well as specialized studies in "Modern Socio-Economic Development of China".

    3. Carefully select and invite faculty, advisors, and experts from Russia, China, and other countries to work at the Center.

    4. Organize faculty, instructors, and experts working on the Center's programs and compile disciplinary curricula.

    Research Mission of the Center:

By gradually building a team of international and Chinese experts, the Center conducts research within the framework of its English-language master's program and Russian-language bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programs. This ensures the continuous expansion of analytical and academic exchanges between the Eurasian Research Center and foreign educational and research institutions. The long-term goal is to establish the Center as a prestigious platform for teaching, research, and public lectures by Chinese and international experts, regularly hosting international seminars on the modern development of Eurasia.

Priority Research Areas of the Center:

    1. Economic development of modern Eurasian nations and regions.

    2. Political economy of modernization in modern Eurasian nations and regions, including institutional changes related to these processes.

    3. International relations and global (regional) security issues.

    4. Social and socio-cultural development in modern Eurasian nations and regions.

To promote academic exchange and the sharing of research outcomes, the Center has successfully established and hosted the annual international seminar "China, Europe, Russia—Economics, Culture, Geopolitics." The inaugural seminar was held in October 2024, attracting numerous domestic and international experts and scholars.
